Elan 210 Prototype Performer, at Dusseldorf Show

Enjoy a photo tour of this high performance concept boat.

Elan introduced a brand-new concept boat recently at the 2011 ´Boot´ boat show in Düsseldorf, Germany. Designed by Humphreys Yacht Design, the Elan 210 has a narrow, performance profile, twin rudders, a lifting T-bulb keel and innovative details, such as removable back rests for the helm. The boat looks to be fast enough to amply satisfy one’s needs on the racecourse, yet spacious enough for an overnight cruise. Our hunch is it will have plenty of speed for the former, but won’t be everyone’s first choice for the latter. We’re looking forward to seeing it under sail.

The Elan 210 premiered at the Dusseldorf boat show.

There's a simple system for moving the outboard out of its locker and over the side, helping prevent damage to the deck.
