Island Packet Yachts has built a strong name for itself in the sailboat world. Now, the 21-year-old company is getting into the power side of boating with its first motoryacht, the Packet Craft 360 Express. It was designed by naval architect Bob Johnson.
Styled after classic pilot boats, the 41-foot 8-inch-long, 36-foot 3-inch wide boat will have forward stateroom with a double-wide berth and a private head compartment. Stateroom appointments will include cedar-lined bureaus and cabinetry, and teak and holly trim. In addition to a bulkhead-mounted shower, the head compartment will feature a hot- and cold-water sink with a molded countertop, a VacuFlush unit, cabinetry and a mirror.
The salon will have a U-shaped settee with UltraLeather upholstery. A drop-leaf table will convert to a cocktail table. Galley appliances will include a refrigerator/freezer, a two-burner stove/oven and a stainless-steel sink with hot and cold water.
A double-wide helm seat with footrests will be at the bridge. Additional bridge passengers will find seating on an L-shaped lounge with a removable table for dining. Also at the bridge, just behind the helm seat, will be a sink in a cabinet that includes space for an optional ice maker.
The aft cockpit is designed with a spacious L-shaped lounge, a recessed alcove under the starboard side deck for connections to shore facilities (power, pump-out, etc.) and a hinged transom door for access. Cockpit steps will lead up to the side decks. For security, the stairway will be well supplied with rails.
A number of engine packages are offered for the 360 Express, from twin 250-hp Yanmar diesels to twin 350-hp Cummins diesels. Base price of the motoryacht with the 250-hp Yanmar motors is $378,950. With the 350-hp Cummins engines, the price is $408,950.
Fuel capacity is 300 gallons. Freshwater capacity is 75 gallons.
