img7368Appealing to a growing family market, Hydra-Sports has introduced its 202 Dual Console model for 2002. The 202DC offers fishing amenities plus features for family members who prefer to swim, ski or cruise.

img7367Overall length is 20 feet, 2 inches with a comfortable 8-foot, 6-inch beam, making it stable in bumpy seas and easily trailerable. The vessel’s hull is a modified-V shape crafted with an all-composite, wood-free construction process. A foam-filled fiberglass box stringer system lines the boat, providing strength and support to the hull as well as sound-deadening qualities.

The 202DC tops out at 42 mph and cruises at 32; cruising capacity is 227 miles. The vessel is certified for eight people or 1,200 pounds of gear.

Fishing equipment includes a 36-gallon insulated baitwell; port and starboard rod storage boxes; insulated fish box; and tackle storage box. The deck is skid-resistant, and the cockpit is self-draining with scuppers.

img7366For the family, the 202DC offers an integrated swim platform with a swing-down boarding ladder and below-decks ski storage. The windshield is made of tempered glass and features a walk-through door. A Bimini top and courtesy lights are included.

Retail price for the hull plus a single Yamaha 150 hp engine is $27,790. The 202DC has a 5/1 limited warranty, covering the hull and most component parts for five years.
